1. Thorough Deep-Dive Assessment (2 hrs)

Service Description

Your first appointment with me will be up to 2 hours in length. It will probably be the most in depth doctor’s meeting you’ve ever had! It’s my job to go upstream and dig deep to find the connection between your symptoms and address the root causes. To achieve this, you have to find a doctor who is willing to spend the time and energy to be a meticulous medical detective which involves proper questioning and deep listening. It’s impossible to achieve this level of thoroughness with the typical 7-minute long OHIP covered MD appointment. (By the way, it’s not your MD’s fault rushing you out the door as they point to the one-issue-per-visit sign, it’s just that OHIP doesn’t allow them to spend that much time with each patient.) Our time will be spent going over a very thorough intake of me digging deep and asking you many detailed questions about your current symptoms, health history, family history, sleep habits, stress, digestion, menstrual cycle history, bowel & urinary habits, diet, medications, etc. We'll cover it all! :) Two comprehensive intake forms will be emailed to you ahead of time, so you can take your time and fill them out prior to this first appointment. If you have any past lab results (or other diagnostic tests done by your MD) please send them to me prior to our first appointment. If not, that's fine, as long as I get them before our 2nd appointment.
